Hi/Low Thursday

This post is part of "Hi/Lo Thursday" on the Riggs Family Blog. Check our their blog to read everyone else's "Hi/Lo" posts.

Hi- Well, that's easy. Seeing Jacob make the connection and wave at his Uncle Phillip on Sunday. That has, without a doubt, been a high for me this week.

Low- Unfortunatly, easy as well. I've really come to understand this week how... damaged, I guess for lack of a better word, a friendship I have with another person is. We were once best friends... but, not so much any more. And it rips my heart out. Not sure how to fix it. Most assuridly, a low.

"Realizing how much you mean (or don't mean) to the people you care for can be heart wrenching. Truth is often without a sense of mercy. Neither is it with a sense of compassion or comfort. Few people if ever are your friends because they can be. For the most part people are your friends out of the sincerity of the moment.
When the moments are gone, so is the friendship."
